Selectd ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information that we receive when you use our mobile application ("App").
2. Data Collection & Storage
Selectd is primarily a local-first application. We minimize data collection to the absolute essentials required for the App's functionality.
Locally Stored Data
The following data is stored exclusively on your device's internal storage (SQLite database). We do not have access to this data:
- Job application details (companies, roles, notes, status)
- File names of uploaded resumes
- Generated HTML export files
- Reminder schedules
Voice Data
Your speech is processed by your device's operating system (Apple or Google speech services). We do NOT upload your audio recordings to our servers. Transcripts are processed locally on your device.
Photo Library & Camera
Photos used for custom avatars are stored locally only and are not uploaded to any external servers.
Calendar Access
Reminder events are created locally on your device. We do not read your existing calendar data.
Analytics & Tracking
- RevenueCat: Used to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. It may collect an anonymous App User ID and purchase history.
- Sentry: Used to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to help fix bugs. No personal job data is sent to Sentry.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On iOS, we request your permission before tracking activity across other companies' apps for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We maintain a strict policy against sharing your data. However, the App relies on several essential third-party services:
- Apple App Store & Google Play Store: Process all payments. We do not store credit card information.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management infrastructure.
- Sentry: App monitoring and error tracking.
- OS Speech Services: Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) handle speech-to-text processing on their respective platforms.
4. Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
- Delete All Data: You can permanently delete all locally stored data via Settings > Danger Zone > Delete All Data.
- Uninstalling: Uninstalling the App will also remove all local data.
